Who is it for?
Second year and third year students of:
- the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Babeş-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca;
- the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca;
- Transilvania University of Braşov.
Selection
Send us your application at practica@iquestint.com. Your application should include:
- your CV, containing the self-assessment of your knowledge;
- your grades for the following majors: Computer Architecture, Fundamentals of Programming, Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, Operating Systems, Advanced Programming Methods, Databases, Objective C;
- examples of your projects developed in one of the languages: Java, C++ or in Testing projects;
- the session you would like to take part in (session 1 or session 2). Note: For Testing Internship, only session 1 is available;
- the area and the project chosen.
Available positions
Java: 12 positions (6 for the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Babeş-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca)
C++: 4 positions (2 positions in Cluj-Napoca for an iPhone application, 2 positions in Brasov for C/C++ Linux, server side development)
Testing: 2 positions

Projects
Java Projects: Online Collaboration Services between Google Docs Suite and Java Mobile Applications (on Android and Blackberry)
The intern will develop online collaboration services on Google Android platform (session 1) and on RIM Blackberry platform (session 2)
Knowledge and skills the intern will acquire:
- Ability to work in a real project team environment;
- Ability to work in real software conditions;
- Knowledge of the Android Platform;
- Knowledge of the RIM Blackberry platform.
C++ Project: Car Fleet Monitoring through GPS
The intern is going to work on developing a car fleet monitoring application through GPS. The application has two main components: recording and displaying routes. The application will be running on iPhone and is going to be developed by the Cluj trainees team. The route stocking part is going to be developed by the trainees team in Braşov.
Project objectives:
- Good teamwork between the two teams (they will depend on each other), just as it actually happens in real projects;
- Good collaboration within and between the teams;
- Learning basic software development processes;
- Learning the technologies and tools used for software development.
